Google's blacklist

update 10-16-2004: It seems that patience, continued linking, and a little fresh content are having some effect in getting my site off Google's blacklist.

I wrote a while ago about how google hates my travel blog. Well I've been getting a few more links and a google search for link:http://www.travel-plan-idea.com shows 30 links, about half from external sites. Still not in the top 100 for "travel plan" or "travel idea".

My site's entry on blogwise is ranked #8. How is a page about my site ranked better than my actual site? The blogwise page is PR 5 but so is my site. And my site is #1 for a Google search allinanchor:travel idea. There's something going on here...

I started my new website, Google crawls it every day, but doesn't show up in the serps. Now I believe the sandbox does exist.

My understanding is that sites intially get a ranking boost and after a month or so get relegated to the sandbox for 2-4 months.

I've been seeing this silly Google trend as well. A search for one of my main terms turns up a link partner in 4th spot with a link to my page.

This is the reason for the proliferation of massive junky directories in the last 6 months.

I have a Question I am hoping someone can help me out with. I recently started a work at home related web site. When I do a google search for realdealjobs, it shows about 40 results, but when I search for link backs (link:http://) my site doesn't even show up. If I do the same thing on MSN search it shows about 20 link backs so far. I have a google page rank of zero!!!!! I cant shake it. Frustrated, I am trying to redesign the whole site. I don't know what I did wrong to get a zero rank or have google not even recognize the site, but it stands to reason it is only fare if they are going to impose a rank on the relevancy of your content, potentially hurting ones search engine ranking, they should have some sort of information on how to remedy a negitive outcome. I would really appreciate it if someone might take a quick look at my site, http://www.realdealjobs.com and let me know if you see any "red flags" other than the reconstruction of the site. I have done alot of research on SEO lately, followed the recomendations, still google hates me. What can I do? Feel free to e-mail me directly if you like.
