I recently put up two new rent a coder bid requests. One was 60 reciprocal links, 150 dollars. The next was 70 for 150 dollars. Both bid requests got plenty of quality bids so in the future I may go even cheaper.
Actually I recently got some spam about SEO but I figured I ask about reciprocal link building. I offered him 100.00/month for 100 recips/month and he went for it, no haggling. Now he'll be using Zeuss (which I tried once but had trouble getting used to) so I guess that makes things a little cheaper than somone sorting through link partners by hand, but it is still very cheap.
I'm just building my jethealth.com web site and did a search for jethealth to see what was out there. I found my domain name for sale on urlmerchant.com.
It smells like a scam though I suppose it could be an honest mistake if they are very very bad at their jobs.
I'm trying out Yahoo Beta (Yahoo! Publisher Network Beta Program) on www.nfl-giants.com - ads appeared immediately, but not targeted ones. I see one long distance ad, 3 finance ads (mortgages, refinancing, and general loans), and one high speed internet ads.
I'll give it some time to see how things go before drawing any real conclusions. However, I must say that since I registered as a sports site and all content is sports related I expect the ads to get more sports related.
On the link submission form at my web directory, the fact that listings must be paid for is made pretty clear. However over the past two weeks I've gotten tons of submissions from people who seem to ahve no intention of paying since they don't even submit emails registered with PayPal.
I checked my stats and it seems that seocompany.ca is the culprit, having listed me in their list of free web directories. If my job was to categorize web directories, I think I could do it correctly. This isn't rocket science. All they have to do is read.
