The blog you should vote for

I have an excuse; I voted for my own blog in the v7n contest because I want people to think I'm more popular than I really am. But the rest of you should be voting for the blog that currently has the lead, The Trap. Simply put, this one did more blog reviews than any other.

You should also be reading this blog because it will help you find some cool blogs you don't know about. The first post showed me a blog named Kineda. Kineda does an excellent job of posting pictures of gorgeous Asian women. You can even nominate women for the list of hottest Asians here. Look at the number of comments to see that this is a brilliant way to get readers actively participating in your blog. I almost registered to nominate my wife and Jeon Ji Hyun...

Webmasters, morons, or both?

Now I remember why i quit reciprocal linking. Not that it doesn't help - I think it does; just that most webmasters looking for link trades are complete morons. Take this thread for example, where I say pretty clearly that to trade links you have to submit to my directory where my links guy can handle it because I don't handle link exchanges personally.

What do I get? Morons asking me to PM them, morons with unrelated sites, and plain morons with nothing at all.

Dedicated Server information site

If you're tired of the limitations with "shared hosting", then maybe it's time you take a look at acquiring a dedicated server. It's not as hard as it seems, and it could end up being economical if you have many sites or if you are planning on developing sites in the future. There are many advantages to leasing a dedicated server, too many to mention here. Take a visit to this site Dedicated Server News. You'll find a resource of information that can get you started.

surferswap iframe links & Google

I recently decided to experiement with this traffic swapping system. I put an iframe on my site(s) and the number of clicks on these links get tracked. Then my link shows up on other sites in the system. The iframe looks like this:

At first I was rather worried about the relevancy (or irrelevancy) of the links, but since they are in an iframe, my understanding is that Google won't follow them. I still have to worry about alienating my users, and I've asked the support people if I can control the links somehow, but as long as Google doesn't index the links, I shouldn't have to be worried about getting penalized for irrelevant links.
